A lot has happened since the last time we posted. Taking a look back at the year 2019 we had some awesome highs and some not so many lows. The summer of 2019 we were able to travel a little bit and we finally made it to our last US state together, Hawaii. We visited the islands of Oahu and Maui and it was paradise for sure. More details on that trip to come. Upon returning to the main land we quickly left to Lake Powell where Skylar’s family all met to enjoy a week on the houseboat. After our adventure at Lake Powell we decided to start looking at places to live/rent and within a week we moved to a quiet little neighborhood in Tustin CA. And another week later and Alyssa had to go back to teaching Math at Orange County School of the Arts.
Unfortunately we didn’t get to do too much traveling after Alyssa went back to work but we did enjoy being on our own as a small family which also grew by two feet. December 18th Clark James Neilson joined our little family healthy and strong. 8 pounds 10 ounces and 22 inches long he came out looking to play some basketball, haha. The holidays were spent locally with both our families and kept us busy enjoying each others company. Taylor has grown a ton and was not too thrilled at first of having a baby brother but she got acclimated to his presence quicker than we thought. Alyssa acquired her Masters from Concordia University all while working full-time and being Pregnant, she is a Super-duper mom!
We hope this year will be full of lots of achievements and goodness. The Neilson’s love living in Tustin and enjoy being part of a new area to explore. Taco Tuesdays are still strong and look forward to trying new locations. We hope your eyesight improves to 2020 this years and lets make these 20’s amazing! As Russell from the Disney’s movie Up says “Adventure is Out There!”, get out there and make your own adventures.
